Subject: DJF thank you

Please pass on our sincere thanks to all the cooking teams who have tirelessly provided healthy homecooked meals for our women and children in our emergency shelter in Plano. DJF cooking teams have been loyally devoting their time, talent, and treasure for years to women and children fresh from the most traumatic experience imaginable. The home cooked meals and the love and care put into them is so appreciated by those in shelter and reminds them there are caring people in the world, people who do not know them, but care for them nonetheless. During this COVID pandemic when everything seems not normal anymore, the DJF cooking teams have continued to nourish our shelter clients. Something as basic as a delicious home cooked meal brings feelings of comfort and warmth when the world feels not normal anymore and the future is uncertain. We are grateful for the selfless sacrifice the DJF cooking teams continue to make on behalf of our women and children in shelter. -Beth
