A Publication for Dallas Service Forum Members EXECUTIVE BOARD 2022-2023 President Marla Nunally A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT President-elect/Parliamentarian Ginny Delflache Vice President Membership It has been a wonderful year since I began this office for Kathy Havel Vice President Service Dallas Service Forum. It’s hard to believe that I already served Betty Cooper Vice President Development this role. Thank you to each member for your support and Lexia Allen guidance throughout the year. Vice President Communications Marilyn Ferris Treasurer A very special and heartfelt thanks to my entire Executive Board. Julie Valerie McMahan Secretary Crowley, my advisor who stepped in absolutely every time I had a question. Alice Freidline She served as a mentor and friend. Julie gave me an example of kindness, Advisor to President discernment, and wise leadership on a weekly basis. Thank you, Julie! Julie Crowley SERVICE CHAIRS Valerie McMahan as our Treasurer also faithfully supported the mission Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center statement and kept our numbers in the forefront. So much experience at Janeva Longacre nearly every office Valerie was always able to guide us from twenty years as The Ebby House a DSF volunteer. Thank you, Valerie! Diane Devin Hope’s Door New Beginnings Kathy Havel served her second year as Membership VP and made Elizabeth Minahan Juliette Fowler Communities Elaine Foster & Janet Gragg meetings fun. Her games and seating choices at the meetings have been NETWORK ways to bring us even closer as a group has made a lasting impact. Thank Linda Puster & Susan Ward you, Kathy! Ronald McDonald House of Dallas Gayle Jenkins, & Sue Greta The Family Place Marilyn Ferris was a welcome addition to the board as VP of Renee Parrett, Kay Trapp, & Maureen Waldie Communications, she always wanted to learn ways to bring us forward with our communications and she has helped us make great strides into this year LEADERSHIP TEAMS 2023. Marilyn is also a delightful person to know, and I’m excited she will be Membership returning to the board. Thank you, Marilyn! Provisional Chairs: Shari Nevelow & Karen McPhail Social Chairs: VP of Development, Lexia Allen, what another pro on the board. We were Meeting Mgt: Kathleen Lane & always able to meet fundraising goals and even had a good time making Jenny Williamson that happen. Lexia was a helpful advisor to me all year long. Thank you Socials: Lexia! Sustainer Chairs: Directory/Handbook: Patti Burks, Kay Trapp, & Maureen Waldie Hours Manager: Kim Jehlik Betty Cooper, VP of Service, was new to the board this year and Just Development stepped up and made it look easy. A gifted speaker and lovely person inside North Texas Giving Day: and out. We have been so fortunate to have her leading the way with our End of Year Giving: Mary Cartwright service agencies. Thank you, Betty! Petite Events: Kay Trapp & Maureen Waldie Secretary, Alice Freidline, joined the board this year with many years of Major Event: Kristin Parrino Underwriting: experience in the non-profit sector having served with United way as a social worker. We were so fortunate to have her helpful insights and Communications Newsletter: Janeva Longacre beautiful laughter. We are all triple thankful Alice will be returning to the WEB Chair: Patti Burks board in this position.
